Highland Driving School was started in 1995 and was purchased by Murray Brooks in 1997. When the business was purchased in 1997 it operated with 1 car and 2 instructors; by 2009 Highland Driving School grew to 4 cars modified with dual safety controls and 5 qualified instructors.
The classroom sessions began at Trenton High School and were taught there until 2003 when the classroom sessions moved to the North Nova Education Centre (NNEC). The move to NNEC allowed the classroom program to grow to include the hands-on portion of the program which gave new drivers (as well as many experienced drivers) the opportunity to learn the basics knowledge and awareness any competent driver should know in order to be safe on the road today.
